Community Advisory Council

The Bentley Health Service (BHS) Community Advisory Council (CAC) is a group of up to 12 community representatives who provide a link between the community and the health service.

The CAC liaise with senior staff to ensure the type and quality of services delivered is meeting the community needs.

BHS encourage consumers to participate in the planning and evaluation of care and services available at the hospital, promoting a better understanding between patients, carers and health care professionals.

Role

  • Provide a consumer point of view to the Executive of Bentley Health Service
  • Conduct patient and facility surveys, report on results and make recommendations
  • Review publications and policies
  • Review patient complaints and incident data
  • Provide consumer representation on various hospital committees
